I know that you’ve probably been learning a lot ultimately, and you may be wondering why you don’t see results? Many times what happens is that by just learning it won’t do it, we need to take action and we need to do it intelligently and organized. The first step is to plan ahead, it would be better if you plan months ahead, including the why, when, how and with whom.
The difficulty about action
Taking action is not easy, taking action requires a lot of the first step for success from this series which is “Mindset”, you really need to stop thinking negative because most of the time what prevents us from taking action is our negative thoughts, we could be almost doing something but because of what we’re thinking stop the process and never following through.
The lack of action is a problem emerging almost everywhere in the world and it happens because of the way we’ve been trained since we were little kids, the school, media and environment lead us to believe that we are supposed to study hard, get good notes and have a secure job for the rest of our lives until it is time to retire. As you may be aware retirement is not going to happen anywhere soon, now it is very likely that almost everyone will have to keep working until very late almost until they die.
The potential action will release
We all have the potential of doing something bigger than our jobs, we all have some knowledge or skills that someone needs or requires, it is just a matter that we set the correct mindset and stop believing our mind trying to stop us to achieve greater goals; To act despite of our fears, to act despite of our minds trying to take us a different path, to act despite everyone else telling us it is risky, despite whatever you may encounter in the way, if you don’t try anything you will never have better results, if you keep doing what you’re doing exactly the same, you will have exactly the same results.
I encourage you to take action today, start from the things that you’ve been putting away for a long time now, for example, to go jogging every morning, to stop eating two plates of food, to stop smoking/drinking, that thing that you’ve been putting away, put your mindset in the right place and start doing this little things, once you start doing those activities, it will be easier for you to stop putting things away and doing them as you said you would.
Once you start taking action on the big things that you want to do, there will be absolutely nothing that can stop you, not even the country’s recession, not even the government, your wife, family, friends or anyone or anything else would be able to.
