Steps For Success :: Step #1 – Mindset for Success
Step #1 – Mindset for Success
If you really want to achieve any success in your life you first need to work in your mindset, it is truly a difficult process because we’ve been taught a way to think, due to the environment that we live in, and the fast pace of life we live in. We’ve lead to believe that success is working hard to retire soon, but that is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard, at least in this new era of constant changes.
Today nothing is secure, if you keep working because you think you have security you’re very wrong, statistics show that the rate of employee rotation is very high lately, one because big companies have to make movements every single day and most of them means firing employees to save some top dollars.
If you’re really, REALLY… but… REALLY committed towards achieving success you have to set your mindset to a point where you believe and trust in yourself, that you’re capable of being more and do more, in other words, be and do what you really DESERVE. In order to program your mindset for success you need to be aware right now of your fears and limitations. For example, if I told you right now that you lost your job, what emotions would come up, what fears, what future situations come up to your mind, if you see yourself in a tough situation if you don’t find a new job quickly (and whatever it is would be fine because you’re in need), then we have a lot of work to do with you.
When I decided to take charge and full responsibility of myself and be completely independent from others, what I did was to imagine my life 5-10-20-40 years from now if I chose to keep the same path I was in (working for somebody else, working from this to that hour, having lunch at that hour, all set by somebody else), and I can really tell you I didn’t like what I saw, I really didn’t find anything that could keep me any other minute doing what I was doing, I saw myself in debt, AWAY from my family, treating each other like strangers, stressed all the time, without any quality time to spend with friends and family, limiting whatever I or my family wanted because I had “no money”, I realized that if I kept doing the same, I was going to live a consequence instead of a result. So I decided to quit my job without any other plans just the thought or belief that I was really capable and since then I haven’t looked back.
What I want you to do to set the correct mindset for your success is the following.
- Think about your dreams, goals and aspirations, let your creativity fly, be wild, dream big, think about your dream house, about your dream vacation, think about having all the time you want to spend with your kids and family, think about the people you would be hanging with, think about the college you would send your kids to, think about any cause that you would be helping BIGTIME! Think about anything that would be the most life changing event that you could imagine right now.
- Think about what you’re currently doing. Is it really going to let you achieve these dreams, goals and aspirations or even get close to them?
- If your answer to previous point was a yes then you’re on the right path already, but if it was a no and I mean be really honest with yourself, nobody else is testing you, it is yourself who want something bigger and better, then think about what do you think would help you achieve these dreams, goals and aspirations, and please, PLEASE don’t come up with winning the lottery, you really want to be part of the 1 out of 1’000’000’000 probabilities? Think about your passion, think about what would you be doing to help others, think about the leverage that you would need to make that happen, think about the time that is going to require, think about the automation that you will need to set in order to be free later on.
If you found some value in this post, please comment below and connect with me on Facebook, I’d love to hear about your dreams, goals and aspirations, and if what you’re currently doing is going to give that results, if not, what do you see yourself doing to leverage the resources needed for you to achieve these goals.
To your continuous growth,
