Why Online Entrepreneurs (internet marketers) Fail And What To Do About It

Most online entrepreneurs fail online because they don’t have a system to follow.

Whenever I see someone struggling online I think to myself about the causes that might be generating the problem.

Almost every time it comes down to the very same problem.

You see, online entrepreneurs a.k.a Internet Marketers are very much like a traditional entrepreneur or business owner.

They really have a lot in common.

And that is the fact they know how to do something very well, something that someone really need and would pay for it.

But don’t know how to market it

The most important part of a business is to actually know how to deliver the goods…

To the right people.

If you investigate a little you’ll find people selling junk (literally) and they are very successful doing it.

Even Donald Trump has said so.

The secret sauce is all about:

Marketing

 

The point here is to understand that the product goes to second terms when it comes to marketing.

It does not matter how good your product is, if you don’t know how to put it in front of the right audience.

You’re screwed

As I mentioned before, online entrepreneurs are much like offline entrepreneurs.

And what defines online entrepreneurs?

Online entrepreneurs are marketing, logistic and technical strategists doing good for other people by bringing them something they need so bad they’re willing to pay the price you set for your product/service.

Unfortunately, most online entrepreneurs or any entrepreneur for that matter cover only the technical part, “the know-how-to-do the stuff part”.

But they don’t know anything about logistics, legal, accounting, marketing, etc.

But, how do I reach my ideal customer?

There are several sources of traffic that you can pay for and bring highly targeted traffic.

  • Facebook PPC
  • Twitter PPC
  • Solo ads
  • Google Adwords PPC
  • Microsoft Bing PPC
  • YouTube streaming
  • Etc, etc.

One think I would like to make very clear is the fact that you will never have trouble finding traffic…

Traffic is a commodity that you get in exchange for money and it is very easy.

The real question is how to attract the right audience to your offer.

You find your ideal customer and market to him.

Ok Allan, so how do I find my ideal customer?

You need to find your ideal customer avatar.

It has to be in terms of just ONE person and you should speak to him/her in your marketing.

You need to find out where he hangs out.

What magazines does he read?

What TV shows does he watch?

What he does for a living?

What charities does he support? (Even morally)

What’s his age?

What’s his name?

Is he married?

Does he have kids?

You get the idea.

Like I said you need to know your ideal customer and create the avatar around him.

Once you know who your ideal customer is and where he hangs out, you just run to the traffic sources mentioned above and exchange your money for their traffic.

Facebook gives you unlimited options to target the right audience for your business.

For PPC if you do a proper keyword research you can target just as highly targeted traffic too.

Basically if you do it right, you’ll be getting highly interested/targeted people into your sales funnels.
